It was wonderful! We booked Story for our Honeymoon and it exceeded our expecations. The best honeymoon surprise was a room upgrade into the beach villa (which we didn't expect at all) and this just made our week :-). This beautiful villa with almost private access to the beach and its own plunge pool is so quiet and comfy that we stayed there most of the time. Room service regularly comes and checks on you. A big plus are the unlimited glass bottles of their fresh water supply which is a sustainable solution for all guests. Furthermore, we also chose this hotel because it is an award winning eco-hotel with lots of great initiatives. All their staff is friendly and helpful and we loved the positive and tranquil vibe in the resort. Breakfast and dinner are directly at the beach with lovely views over the ocean. I LOVED the food!!! We ate at the buffet restaurant every day and it never got boring because of the fresh and huge variety of dishes on offer and the desserts are to die for! All in all it was the best holidays we've ever had.

Our room was spacious, simply but tastefully decorated and clean. Although the hotel is big it didn’t feel crowded or busy the way some resorts do. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Our two year old son had plenty to explore, felt welcome everywhere and loved the attention from the staff. He also loved spending time with Jackie at the kids’ club (children under 3 need to be accompanied by an adult but it was a nice break for us nevertheless to know that he’s taking part in different activities, while we got to relax and read on a comfy sofa in the corner). We ate mostly at the restaurants at the hotel, as going out into the town in the evening with a 2 year old seemed less feasible than what we expected (the streets were a bit dark, pavement narrow and uneven and traffic on the road quite heavy, hard to navigate with a stroller). The food was pretty nice and as a pescatarian I always had a few options to choose from. The beach was very easy to get to (right behind the bar) and calm, with beautiful views.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right on a beautiful beach with white sands and crystal sea to swim. You can take a walk down the coast to a number of popular and delicious restaurants/bars outside of the hotel. The rooms are lovely and spacious and overlook the sea and pool. The staff were fantastic and took the liberty of decorating the room for a birthday we didn't even tell them we were celebrating. We had a couples massage which was brilliant - the staff are very talented. The food was amazing, namely the croissants and fresh orange juice, and dinner you have to try the fresh red snapper and famous creol sauce. The hotel organised an airport transfer for us and it was very easy to book. You can book tours and excursions directly from the hotel also. Just great! Highly reccommend!

The resort is absolutely stunning, you feel relaxed as soon as you step in the property. The pool is fantastic, with great views of the hills and of the beach. Suites are spacious and comfortable. We were on our honeymoon and we had nice touches, which was very sweet. Beau Vallon beach is beautiful, sadly in September there was plankton in the sea which meant it was quite itchy to go in the water, so we spent our time by the pool. There’s a bus stop right by the hotel to go to Victoria for really cheap (staff at reception will give you the schedule if you ask) - much better to pay 12 rupees than 300 rupees for a 10min drive! Trader Vic’s is AMAZING. The cocktails and the food was incredible, one of the best meals. The environment is also fantastic.

Our flight was delayed, so we arrived at the hotel one day later.  The manager Melissa is so kind that she upgraded our room to the seaside villa with a private swimming pool.  We can see the beautiful beach from our backyard. The bed and pillows are super comfortable.  We like the shower in the yard, which reduces the humidity in the room. Surprisingly, we didn't see even one mosquito or insect around. The hotel must have taken measures to drive them away. The Japanese restaurant is good. The ladies at the reception are very helpful.  Neige extended our checkout until 2pm in the afternoon since we had a late flight. Overall, we had a wonderful stay more than we expected.
